Item description:

A charming childhood studio portrait of Lionel, who was six years old in 1922 when the Van Ralty, Ltd. photography studio of Liverpool took the picture. The unused real-photo postcard shows Lionel in some sort of sailor outfit. While photographer Van Ralty also had studios in Manchester, Nottingham, Oldham and Bolton, the main studio was in Liverpool. The Van Ralty firm is listed in 1915-1929 trade directories as being located at 35 London Rd. In excellent condition.
